White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders offered a Mother’s Day rebuke to CNN reporter Jim Acosta, saying in an interview with the Daily Caller that CNN’s White House correspondent often reminded her of her children.
“Both of them whine pretty regularly. They both like to ask the same questions and sometimes their tone needs to be adjusted a little bit.” Sanders told the Daily Caller’s Benny Johnson in a Mother’s Day weekend special published by the conservative news outlet.
“In all seriousness, I think that having kids is great preparation for anything — especially a job you need patience for and they have certainly prepared me for this one,” she added.

In addition to Sanders, the piece also featured other leading White House women including Kellyanne Conway and Mercedes Schlapp, who talked about their daily routine raising a dozen kids between them.
A rep for CNN did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Though Sanders routinely faces tough questioning from the White House press corps, few have been as consistently aggressive as Acosta. The president shares her the disdain for Acosta and routinely refers to the reporter and his network as “fake news.”
